The 19th edition of the Asian Games is all set to kick off on September 23 in Hangzhou, China. Some of the events will commence on September 19, including cricket which is making a return to the Asian Games. Men’s and Women’s cricket events took place in the 2010 and 2014 games but missed out in 2018. However, India never sent its team for the event.
This time, the Board of Control for Cricket (BCCI) in India has decided to send both its men’s and women’s teams to take part in the Asian Games. Harmanpreet Kaur will be leading the women’s team, which will kick off their campaign on September 21.
