The Australian Women’s Team registered a thumping 110-run victory via the DLS method in the 3rd and final T20 match played at North Sydney Oval, Sydney on 10th February 2024. de Klerk delivered a no-ball in the 48th over as Alana King smashed a six and got hit wicket. King survived and smashed a six-off free hit that changed the momentum in favor of Australia. King scored a quickfire knock that helped the Australian team post competitive total of 277 for 9.

Mooney and Sutherland put on 54 runs for the 6th wicket. Mooney played a key role in remaining not out on 82. Alana King scored a quickfire 17 off 12 deliveries with 2 sixes that helped Australian women post 277 for 9 in 50 overs.

Australian women thrash South Africa

The Australian women’s team registered a 110-run victory to seal the One-day international series by 2-1. Kim Garth included in the playing XI showed her class by getting wickets of captain Laura Wolvaardt and Anneke Bosch to break the backbone of South African batting.

It was a disciplined bowling effort as the Australian women’s team did not allow the South African batters to score runs freely. With the scoreboard reading 63 for 4, rain arrived. After the break, the revised target was 238 from 31 overs.

After the rain break, Australian bowlers kept taking wickets at regular intervals and bowled out South Africa for 127 in 24.3 overs. Sune Luus was the top scorer with 34 while Tanzim Brits made 31.

For her 44 off 35 balls and 3 for 23, Tahila McGarth was named the Player of the Match award. Australia cannot lose the multi-format series as they lead by 8-4. The one-off test match will be played from 15th February in Perth.
