Bangladesh will host Sri Lanka in a three-match One-Day International series at the Shere Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka starting May 23. Both sides come from the back of poor outings and will be desperate to return to winning ways with ICC 2023 World Cup in view.

Sri Lanka suffered a 0-3 whitewash against West Indies in their last ODI assignment earlier this year. On the other hand, Bangladesh met New Zealand in their previous ODI series where they also lost 0-3. The two teams last faced each other in a two-match Test series at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium in Sri Lanka earlier this year. The first game ended in a draw while the hosts won their second encounter by 209 runs.

However, ODIs are a different ball game altogether and both sides will hope to start afresh and return to winning ways.
