BCCI has recommended these players for Khel Ratna, Dronacharya & Arjuna awards from the Government

BCCI has recommended few players for several awards from the Government. Indian skipper Virat Kohli has been recommended for Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna award from BCCI.

This is the second time after 2016, Indian icon has been recommended. If he bags this award this time, he will be only the third player to receive this honour after Sachin and Dhoni.

Rahul Dravid, the Indian U-19 coach has been recommended for the Dronacharya award. Rahul, who played a phenomenal role in the team”s success at U19 World Cup in New Zealand was found to be the perfect candidate for the same category.

Sunil Gavaskar, the first Indian to reach 10k test runs, made it to the list of Dhyan Chand award. This award is the highest honour to be received in the field of sports. It is a lifetime achievement award for the legends in their field of sports.

Meanwhile, players Shikar Dhawan and Smriti Mandhana have been recommended for Arjuna award. Both the openers played an important role in scripting several wins in the ICC tournaments since 2017.

Dhawan, found himself to receive A+ grade contract earlier this year and this award would reach him as a double delight. Smriti starred in the recent ODI series against England and against South Africa at Kimberly oval.
