Bharat Arun Makes Bold Statement On Indian Bowler Ahead Of 2025 England Series
India vs England fourth test

Former India bowling coach Bharat Arun has expressed strong support for Kuldeep Yadav ahead of the upcoming five-Test series in England, starting June 20 at Headingley, Leeds. Arun highlighted the success of wrist-spinners in English conditions, referring to the legendary Shane Warne as an example.

He believes that Kuldeep can be highly effective if he smartly exploits the rough patches created by pacers. Speaking to RevSportz (as quoted by India Today), Arun said he expects the spinner to make a significant impact.

“Wrist spinners have always been effective, especially in England. Maybe even initially, when there is a little bit of dampness in the wicket, there is help for those wrist spinners. And also, the roughs that the bowlers create. But again, using the rough is a separate art.”

“It’s not just about bowling. I think somebody who instantly comes to our mind is Shane Warne. I think Kuldeep has got enough skills to be successful in England,” he stressed.

Bharat Arun also expressed confidence that India’s relatively inexperienced bowling lineup will deliver strong performances in England. During the same conversation, he added:

Besides Kuldeep Yadav, the India squad of 18 players for the England tour features all-rounders Ravindra Jadeja and Washington Sundar as spinners. The pace attack comprises Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj, Akash Deep, Arshdeep Singh, Prasidh Krishna, and Shardul Thakur. Additionally, Nitish Reddy may also get opportunities to bowl medium pace during the five-Test series.

India’s squad: Shubman Gill (C), Rishabh Pant (VC & WK), Nitish Reddy, Ravindra Jadeja, Yashasvi Jaiswal, KL Rahul, Sai Sudharsan, Abhimanyu Easwaran, Washington Sundar, Shardul Thakur, Jasprit Bumrah, Karun Nair, Dhruv Jurel (WK), Mohd.
