Former Indian cricket captain Sourav Ganguly received warm birthday wishes from various individuals in the cricket fraternity as he turned 51.
Ganguly, often credited as one of the key figures in shaping Indian cricket’s current landscape, enjoyed greetings from former cricketers, administrators, and fans alike.
Aside from his illustrious playing career, Ganguly previously held the position of President of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) until last year.
Presently, he serves as the Director of Cricket for the Delhi Capitals in the Indian Premier League (IPL).

The BCCI took to social media to extend their wishes, posting, “424 intl. matches, 18575 intl. runs, 38 intl. centuries. Here’s wishing former #TeamIndia Captain and former BCCI President @SGanguly99 a very Happy Birthday.”
Jay Shah, the Secretary of the BCCI and Ganguly’s former colleague, conveyed his birthday wishes as well. He tweeted, “Happy Birthday, Dada! May the almighty bless you with good health and prosperity. Have a great year ahead, and I look forward to seeing you soon – @SGanguly99 #HappyBirthdayDada.”
Yuvraj Singh, Ganguly’s former teammate, shared a photograph of the duo and playfully mentioned planning pranks together. His message read, “When you’re planning the next prank with dada without him knowing that he is the one who will actually be pranked. Happy birthday #dadi! Loads of love always @SGanguly99.”
Wasim Jaffer, a former Indian cricketer, also took the opportunity to wish his ex-captain. He expressed, “This Jersey, this era will always be special for Indian cricket fans.
