Brad Hogg feels that team India will grapple without Jasprit Bumrah in the final Test at Brisbane against Australia. The star Indian fast bowler is doubtful for the final Test after he picked an abdominal strain in the Sydney Test. The skipper Ajinkya Rahane over bowled his strike bowler which has now taken a toll on his body.

Former Aussie cricketer Brad Hogg admired team India for the way they put the hosts under pressure in the last 2 Test matches. Hogg pointed out that even though the Indian side was depleted they showed character and put Australia under pressure. However, with Bumrah uncertain for the final Test, Hogg added that India will struggle to stay in the match at Brisbane without the leader of the bowling attack.

Without Jasprit Bumrah it will be a hard task for team India- Brad Hogg

“I have liked the way Australia has been put under pressure if you go into the last two Test matches, Australia were the favourites, they were on their home soil. India was depleted, they had lost Shami, Shami was the perfect pick for Sydney. Siraj and Saini stood up and it just showed character. So for me, Australia being put on the back foot is what you want to see in their home. It is going to be a big fight for Australia to pick up the title in Brisbane but without Bumrah there it will be hard ask for India to stay in the contest”, Brad Hogg said on Sports Today.

Meanwhile, team Indian management will be hoping that Bumrah gets fully fit for the Brisbane Test and features in the playing XI. Nevertheless, if Bumrah is not 100 % ready them it is unlikely that the management will take any chances with his injury with the Test series against England just around the corner.

Furthermore, Brad Hogg was all praises for Cheteshwar Pujara and Rishabh Pant who played a key role in helping India draw the SCG Test. Hogg even admitted that Pant is currently his favourite cricket as he has can change the match on his own.

“Well done to Pujara as well as Pant, he is my favourite cricketer at the moment. He can turn a game on its back”, Brad Hogg said.
