With all the participating team aiming to make it big in the T20 blitz, legendary batsman from West Indies, Brian Lara has revealed three heavyweight contenders who can emerge as champions at historic Melbourne Cricket Ground.
Meanwhile, Lara is currently in India plying his trade for West Indies Legends in the Road Safety World Series. Although his team has had a poor start to the campaign, the stylish southpaw already has shown some glimpses of his various past. Recently, during an interview, Brian Lara has picked top contenders to win the T20 World Cup.

In a year filled with global sporting events including the Olympics, the cricket fans are keenly waiting for the World Cup. Lara picked the Virat Kohli-led India alongside the home team Australia and defending champions West Indies as the hot favourites to win the competition.
“I think India is going to be a force to reckon with. Australia at home….it’s not going to be an easy World Cup for anyone. Australia is going to be worried about India and the West Indies, West Indies are going to be worried about everybody because of their inconsistency sometimes. So it’s going to be a great World Cup to look at,” Lara told Espncricinfo.
