Former South Africa all-rounder Jacques Kallis one of the greatest all-rounders to have played the game. The statistics speak volume about the stature of the cricketer. Meanwhile, the cricketer-turned coach and his wife Charlene Engels recently gave birth to their first child, Joshua Henry Kallis.

Meanwhile, unlike his contemporaries, Kallis tied the knot in 2019. The 44-year-old former cricketer finally settled down with Engels after dating for a long time. The couple has since then kept their lives private and on March 11 (Wednesday) announced the birth of their first kid.

⁩Speaking about cricket, Jacques Kallis is one of the illustrious chapters in South African cricket. During his playing days, the Proteas attained bigger heights winnings many matches both at home and on abroad. Having retired from international cricket in 2014, Kallis was part of the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) which lifted the trophy in 2012 and 2014.

Following his retirement, the former all-rounder took over as the head coach of the Kolkata franchise in 2016 and stayed till 2019. New Zealand’s Brendon McCullum replaced the South African for the thirteenth edition. In late 2019, he was appointed as the batting consultant of the South African national team.
