Mooney: It has to be my ‘famous, green sweatband’ (guffaws)!

Mooney: ‘Passionate’.

Mooney: Swearing.
Q: First thing you bought with your salary from professional cricket?
Mooney: I probably made my mortgage payment.

Mooney: I would travel back in time to make my international debut all over again and train even harder.

Mooney: (with sheer excitement) Conor McGregor!

Mooney: I have actually been reading the autobiography of Mahatma Gandhi.

Mooney: I wish I were James Bond!

Mooney: To play any type of sport. I pretty much play all kinds of sports. I love skateboarding.
Q: Your favourite sportspersons?
Mooney: Well, there are many. I think Conor McGregor and Rory Mcllroy are two of the world’s greatest sportspersons at present and both of them happen to be Irish which is fantastic!
Q: Your favourite cricketing moment as of yet?
Mooney: I have a couple of them- making my international debut for Ireland in 2004 and beating England in the group stages of the 2011 World Cup at Bangalore.
Q: What is your ideal mantra for spending some quality with family at home?
Mooney: It’s all about putting smiles on faces of my family members, to be well-fed and being healthy.
Q: If you had the chance of becoming any other cricketer for a day, who would you be?
Mooney: Brian Charles Lara.
Q: If you weren’t a cricketer, what would you have become?
Mooney: I am a qualified electrician but I currently own a gym, so I could have considered a career in either of these.
