Royal Challengers Bangalore skipper Virat Kohli was dismissed early against the Rajasthan Royals at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Qualifier 2 of the Indian Premier League. He was caught on seven runs in the second over of the innings.

Virat Kohli opened the innings along with skipper Faf Du Plessis. In the first over, he slammed a brilliant six off Trent Boult over the deep square leg fence. However, Kohli’s stay at the crease ended soon, as he edged one to Sanju Samson. In the second over, Prasidh Krishna bowled a wide of the off-stump ball, which bounced and took a healthy edge. The wicket-keeper did the rest to send Virat back in the hut.

The fans were upset with Virat Kohli’s dismissal. The Royal Challengers Bangalore batter has scored 341 runs in the Indian Premier League 2022 season so far. He averages 22.73 in sixteen matches, with two half-centuries to his name.

Let’s take a look at how fans reacted to Kohli’s early dismissal:

Gained a lot of confidence talking to Virat Kohli: Rajat Patidar

Royal Challengers Bangalore batter Rajat Patidar has looked in great form. He slammed his maiden Indian Premier League century in the Eliminator against the Lucknow Super Giants. Patidar scored an unbeaten 112 off 54 balls, including twelve boundaries and seven sixes. He stitched a decent partnership of 66 runs with Virat Kohli during the innings.

Ahead of the Qualifier 2 match, Patidar spoke about his experience of playing alongside the former Indian skipper. He said,

“I gained a lot of confidence talking to Kohli and he shared his experiences about where I can get better.”

The Royal Challengers Bangalore have lost both their openers. Skipper Faf Du Plessis was dismissed for 25 runs off 27 balls. All-rounder Glenn Maxwell joined Rajat Patidar at the crease, as the Royal Challengers Bangalore are 81 for two in eleven overs.
