Chris Rogers Picks his all-time XI, only one Indian in the XI

Naming the all-time XI has become a trend nowadays. A lot of former cricketers and analysts have been sharing their squads on social platforms in recent times. While few of them were well received, the other ones were taken to extreme criticism by the users. Former Australian test opener Chris Rogers has now shared his all-time XI.

He chose to go with his David Warner and Virat Kohli as the openers of the side. Rogers batted alongside Warner in his career and he had no hesitation in naming him as a part of the side.

His middle order included the likes of AB de Villiers, Steve Smith, and Darren Lehmann. Speaking on ABD, he relieved one of the moments when he faced Mitchell Johnson with ease during one of the series. Adding Mark Ramprakash as one of the players, he said that he learned a lot from Mark”s technique on the field.

Naming Adam Gilchrist as one of the most inspirational personalities around, he named Gilly as his keeper for the side. His fiery bowling attack included Mitchell Johnson, Ryan Harris, and Stuart Broad. Graeme Swann remained as the lone spinner for the side.

An Aussie dominant side?

His squad included close to six Australians and very few from other nationalities. A lot of applause was in store for the bowling attack in the squad. Particularly for Swann who was termed as one of the troubling bowlers faced by Rogers in his career.

The video is posted on youtube on the official page of the Lord”s cricket ground. Rogers represented Kangaroos in 25 tests amassing close to 2000 runs. In the process, he registered 14 half-centuries and 5 centuries to his name.
