The evening encounter of the inaugural edition of the Cricfit Premier League (CPL)saw the Celebration Sports Club take on the NIWEC in the Under-16 department at the Thakur Cricket Stadium in Kandivali where an onslaught by the NIWEC batsman saw them chase down the target of 143 runs in just under 13 overs eventually comprehensively beating Celebration Sports Club by 8 wickets.

It all started when NIWEC  won the toss and elected bowl first a decision which eventually did fall in their favour by the end of the match. Celebration Sports Club’s opening batsman Aarav Advani was the lone warrior in the line up as he scored a fabulous knock of 89 runs off 63 deliveries before getting dismissed in the most unfortunate fashion with just two balls to spare in the innings.

Other than Aarav none of the batsmen contributed to Celebration Sports Club’s scoreboard as they ended up on 142/7 at the end of 20 overs.
