Defending champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK) will kick off their IPL 2022 campaign against finalists Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) on March 26 at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. It will be a replication of last year’s final.
CSK, led by the legendary MS Dhoni, will be eyeing their fifth IPL title. However, their chances have received a major dent with all-rounder Deepak Chahar likely to miss the most part of IPL 2022 due to an injury.
With Faf du Plessis and Suresh Raina, not part of the squad anymore, CSK will have to build their team from the scratch. But with Dhoni at the helm, it won’t be much of a problem. The eyes will be on young U19 World Cup winner Rajvardhan Hangergekar, who is considered to be the next big thing in India.
