Newly-added franchise Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) will kick off their IPL 2022 campaign against another new entrant Gujarat Titans on March 28 at the Wankhede Stadium. Led by KL Rahul, the RPSG owned team has built a strong squad and will eye the elusive trophy in their maiden campaign.
Along with Rahul (INR 17 crore), LSG signed Australian all-rounder Marcus Stoinis (INR 9.2 crore) and leg-spinner Ravi Bishnoi (INR 4 crore) at the pre-draft.
Mentored by Gautam Gambhir, they were pretty organised with their plan at the IPL 2022 mega auction and made some swift buys. They added a couple of all-rounders in their ranks including Jason Holder (INR 8.75 crore), Krunal Pandya (INR 8.25 crore) and Deepak Hooda (INR 5.75 crore).
The addition of Quinton de Kock, Avesh Khan and Mark Wood will also boost LSG going into their maiden IPL season.
