- 1st ODI at Dhaka
After the World Cup 2015, Bangladesh took on India in the first match of 3 match ODI series at Dhaka. This match was played on 18th June 2015. In that match Bangladesh won the toss and elected to bat. Tamim Iqbal and Soumya Sarkar gave the team a flying start putting on 102 runs in 13.4 overs. Both the openers scored half centuries. After that 4 wickets fell in quick succession to leave Bangladesh at 146 for 4. Sabbir Rahman and Shakib- AL- Hasan added 83 runs for the fifth wicket. Good hitting by Nasir Hossain and captain Mortaza helped Bangladesh to post 307 in 49.4 overs.
Chasing the target of 308, the Indian openers Shikhar Dhawan and Rohit Sharma gave a solid start putting on 95 runs for the first wicket. As the wicket of Dhawan wicket fell, Mustafizur Rahman bowled with great variations and took his maiden 5 wicket haul. India was bowled out for 228 in 46 overs giving Bangladesh a 79 runs win.
