South African side has been a part of two clinical defeats this World Cup. England outclassed them completely. Against Bangladesh, the loss certainly dented their confidence significantly.

One of the talking topics of this game has been the performance of Lungisani Ngidi. Though he was bowling well in the initial overs of the game a hamstring injury has kept him aside from bowling his remaining quota of overs.

An update from the team management is that he is currently receiving some treatment and further clarification on his participation is still awaited.

This comes as a severe blow for the Proteas as their prime bowler Dale Steyn hasn”t even featured in both games due to a shoulder injury.

Steyn sustained an injury during the Indian Premier League and he was forced to leave within a short span of time. The middle order woes continue to daunt them as they aren”t able to provide the stability needed during the chases.

The mighty Hashim Amla also did not feature in the game against Bangladesh as a precautionary concussion scare. Although he is expected to be back for the game against India in Southampton.
