Team India cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal shocked everyone announcing his engagement with renowned choreographer Dhanashree Verma on August 8 (Saturday). It has garnered a lot of reactions among the fans and cricketers. England cricketer Danielle Wyatt, who is famous on social media, reacted to Chahal’s engagement.

Chahal took to social media to post a photo of himself and Dhanashree Verma and captioned the post, “We said “Yes” along with our families #rokaceremony.”

Since the news broke out, social media has been on fire. People from all spheres came down to wish the newly-engaged couple. The cricketers including Virat Kohli, Sachin Tendulkar, Bhuvneshwar Kumar led the charge in wishing the couple. Team India head coach Ravi Shastri also poured in heartfelt wishes for Yuzvendra Chahal and Dhanashree Verma.

Renowned English cricketer Danielle Wyatt also joined the chorus in wishing Yuzvendra Chahal. Chahal’s social media friend, Wyatt congratulated the couple.

Both Yuzvendra Chahal and Danielle Wyatt has been involved in a couple of banter on social media platforms. Speaking to cricket.com, a couple of months back, Wyatt stated that she never met Chahal and they are only friends on social media.

“I have never met Chahal. We follow each other on Instagram and have some good friendly banter towards each other. He is a fantastic bowler and he is absolutely funny on social media too,” Wyatt had said. 

Speaking on the work front, Yuzvendra Chahal is currently gearing up for the IPL 2020 season starting next month. He is one of the key players of RCB franchise and will be looking to contribute heavily as the franchise will look to win the title for the first time in 13 years.

Meanwhile, the cricketer from Haryana has so far represented India in 52 ODIs and 42 T20 Internationals. Chahal has scalped 91 wickets in ODIs, while he has claimed 55 scalps in the shortest format of the game.
