England’s top-order batsman Dawid Malan has achieved the highest ever rating for T20 batsman in the ICC T20 Batsman rankings. This was after England’s subsequent thrashing in the T20 series against South Africa. The Proteas side led by Quinton De Kock failed to win a single match in the series as the onslaught by the England batsman was all over the series.
Dawid Malan has touched the mark of 915 points following the 3rd T20 against Australia. He is the only batsman in history to cross the 900 point mark as the last batsman who neared him was Australia’s limited-overs skipper Aaron Finch who clocked at exact 900 points in July 2018. Malan’s astounding run with the bat saw him finish the series with 173 runs as England whitewashed South Africa 3-0 in the T20 series.
In the 3rd T20, Dawid Malan’s knock of 99 runs helped his side achieve the number one spot in the ICC T20 rankings as England overtook Australia.

Dawid Malan Just Goes Out And Smashes It – Nasser Hussain
Former England captain Nasser Hussain praised Dawid Malan for his gameplay and consistency in scoring runs in the series. He praised Malan by saying how he doesn’t dig up a lot of dot deliveries but instead goes out and expresses himself by playing aggressive cricket.
“On difficult pitches, he grinds out a score while when you need to up the run rate and you can’t be using up deliveries on dot balls in the powerplay he doesn’t – he just goes out and smashes it,” Hussain told Sky Sports.
“He never overhits. It’s classy batting – it is not power, it is just timing. At times he makes it look effortless,” he added.
