Mitchell Starc Joins David Warner In Australia’s Injury List

The worry continues for the Australian side as after David Warner, it is Mitchell Starc this time who has joined the queue of injured players. Mitchell Starc who didn’t look in the greatest touch in the first couple of ODI as he was struggling with his line and length was rested ahead of the 3rd ODI which led to seamer Sean Abbott take his place in the side for the 3rd ODI at Manuka Oval in Canberra.

Starc’s replacement in the side didn’t have either a memorable or favourable outing in the middle as he was tonked all over the place by Ravindra Jadeja and Hardik Pandya who smoked a 150 run partnership between them to take India to a total of 302 runs at the end of 50 overs.

The Australian side under Aaron Finch failed to whitewash India in the ODI series all thanks to Shardul Thakur’s tight bowling spell where he picked up three wickets besides the stellar 150 run stand between Hardik Pandya and Ravindra Jadeja. Both sides will now edge into the T20 series starting in two days time, after which the Border-Gavaskar Trophy would begin.
