The IPL 2020 is about to begin as Chennai Super Kings will take on the Mumbai Indians in the season opener. The two heavyweights contested the IPL final last year in which CSK lost to MI in a last-ball thriller. Once again MS Dhoni will be the centre of attention when his franchise plays in the IPL.

Dhoni has already led CSK to three IPL title and will be aiming to make it 4 in UAE. Recently former Australia cricketer, Dean Jones hailed Dhoni for the way he conducts himself and leads CSK in the IPL. He also pointed out that Dhoni since the camp in Chennai will be instilling discipline in all the youngsters of his squad ahead of the big season.

“MS Dhoni is captain cool. He doesn’t sweat but he hasn’t played cricket for 14 months. He has had a camp back in Chennai. He is teaching some of the young guys back in quarantine some discipline because there is a lot of discipline in his game,” Jones said on ‘Star Sports’ chat show Cricket Connected.

Dhoni Will Be In My Top 5 Indian Player Of All Time- Dean Jones

The popular commentator further lauded the incredible captaincy of Dhoni. Jones stated that Dhoni plays the waiting game like a master and waits for the opposition to make mistakes. When he sees an opportunity in the game, he makes sure he always makes it count and go ahead in the match. Jones rates Dhoni very highly and regards him as one of his top 5 Indian cricketers of all time.

“And as a captain, he is quite conservative in his tactics. But Dhoni waits for you to make a mistake and then the cobra goes for the squeeze. People will always remember what he has done. He will be in my top five Indian players of all time”, Jones said on Dhoni’s captaincy.

Meanwhile, Dhoni will be returning to action after a long gap of more than a year. The legendary cricketer on August 15 announced his retirement from international cricket. He will once again be a vital player for CSK as both captain and a finisher in batting in the upcoming IPL 2020.
