ENG vs IND 2021: Twitter Reacts To Virat Kohli Losing Toss For 8th Consecutive Time In England

Team India are currently playing against England in the second Test of five-match Test series at Lord’s on August 12. Meanwhile both the teams were heading into the game in the absence of few main players from the team. India was forced to remove Shardul Thakur as he suffered a hamstring injury and England will miss Stuart Broad who suffered a calf injury. Meanwhile, Indian Captain Virat Kohli once again lost the toss in England.

Notably, Virat Kohli is having very poor luck with the toss. As Kohli has lost each and every toss in England in Test cricket. Since captaining India in Tests, Virat has played 8 Test matches in England. In 2018 Kohli lost 5 tosses. Meanwhile, in the first two games against England at Nottingham and Lord’s, he once again lost the toss. Other than this he also lost the toss in the WTC final which was played at Southampton.

Meanwhile, after winning the toss England Captain Joe Root elected to bowl first. During the presentation, Virat Kohli also expressed that they wanted to bowl first.

“Same, we would’ve bowled first as well. But not too bad batting first as well, good opportunity to put a score. Ishant replaces Shardul, that’s the only change. We announced 12 within the group and Ashwin definitely was part of that. But this makes the most sense for us as a team.

Everyone wants to contribute, it’s about getting into the game as a batsman. We just need to get the job done, whoever it is, that’s our main focus. Especially with crowds back in, it’s a pleasure to be here. An honour to play in front of crowds for what should be a cracker,” he added.

Here is how Twitter reacted after Virat Kohli lost the toss
