Indian skipper Virat Kohli made the day of a few young kids on the opening day of the first Test at Trent Bridge. The England vs India Test series is underway in Nottingham, with England opting to bat first after winning the toss. Joe Root’s team lost a wicket in the very first over. Ahead of the start of the first Test, Virat Kohli spoke to Dinesh Karthik speaking about his attitude to the game. Karthik, who is in England conducted this interview for Sky Sports.

It was a candid chat with Kohli speaking about his preparations of the game and his vision with the Indian team in the recent future.

“When I step onto the field I have to believe I am the best. I am not going to allow anyone to think I’m a pushover on the field. It’s not to disrespect anyone, it’s belief in my own abilities. Fine, you have the ball in hand but if you get it wrong you know you are going to for runs. If you get me out and bowl a great spell, hats off to you. But the next time I am going to be here again so make sure you bring your A-game. That’s the mindset at this level,” Kohli said on Sky Sports.
