Karun Nair is back in the national jersey as he takes on the upcoming India A tour in England, making his comeback journey to international cricket significant. The Karnataka batsman trains hard, since his first first-class match against England A is scheduled for May 30 in Canterbury and the second starts on June 6 in Northampton. From June 13, the India A team will play a four-day match versus the senior India squad after their game against England A.
Nair’s appointment is based on his consistent scoring away from the public eye in India. In the current Ranji season, He got 863 runs in just 9 matches and he has looked unstoppable in IPL 2025 as well. He scored an impressive 89 runs off just 40 balls at his first IPL match against the Mumbai Indians, which has raised many eyebrows.
The batsman’s return to the national squad is one of cricket’s most inspirational comeback tales, demonstrating that persistence and steady play may ultimately result in top-level recognition.
