Dinesh Karthik called the thrilling series between England and India, it is the type of series that keeps it alive. The fifth Test was a nail-biting six-run victory by India, with the series tied up and the first Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy shared. Karthik commended the high quality of competition as well as the modern cricket that was being played during the series and how fascinating Test cricket is.
At the beginning of the play on Monday, England stood at 339 in the loss of 6, requiring 35 runs to take it home. A win at Oval would have gotten them position 3-1 in the form of the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy. That would have been the 26th test win of that team out of 41 tests played by this team under McCullum, but iconic Indian bowlers led by Mohammed Siraj ensured that England fell to their tenth test defeat under McCullum since May 2022.

Dinesh Karthik expressed his pride in being part of the Indian team and praised the thrilling England-India series, saying it’s the kind that “keeps it alive” and “keeps that fire alive.”
“I am very happy because I’m going to go to that podcast, which is the most important part of this Test series. But the fact is that I’m very proud to have been a part of that team before, because when you represent your country and there’s so much talk about Test, this is the kind of series that keeps it alive. It keeps that fire alive,” Dinesh Karthik said on Sky Sports.
Mohammed Siraj recorded the best bowling figures of his career by claiming 9/190 as India secured a famous 6-run victory in the 5th and final Test against England at the Oval on Monday. Besides Siraj, Prasidh Krishna contributed with four wickets and India settled down to the series in 2-2.
