England have announced they’re playing XI for the third Test against hosts Pakistan to be played at National Stadium, Karachi from December 17 onwards. The tourists have already sealed the series 2-0 with one match still to go.

Ben Stokes and Co. made two changes in their squad as Ben Foakes makes a comeback while Rehan Ahmed became the youngster spinner for England to feature in Test matches. The batting looks solid as Zak Crawley and Ben Duckett will open the innings. Ollie Pope, Joe Root, Ben Stokes, Harry Brooks, and Ben Foakes would comprise of the middle order.

The pace bowling department comprises Ollie Robinson and Mark Wood. Rehan Ahmed will make his Test debut at the age of 18 years and 126 days. Jack Leach will be another spinner to accompany Ahmed.

It has been an impressive performance by Ben Stokes-led side in the first two Test matches played at Rawalpindi and Multan. England produced some brilliant performances winning the first Test match by 74 runs despite Mohammed Ali and Naseem Shah’s resistance.

England showed their skills on a much tougher wicket at Multan. Ben Stokes led side won the second Test match by 26 runs. England visited Pakistan after a gap of 17 years and produced some brilliant cricket with both bat and ball.

James Anderson rested for 3rd Test against Pakistan

Stokes’ captaincy was superb bringing on changes at vital times and not allowing Pakistan to change the momentum. England would be hoping that they continue their brilliant performances in the third Test match at National Stadium, Karachi.

James Anderson will be rested for this Test match while Will Jacks would not feature in the playing. Ben Foakes would be the wicketkeeper as Ollie Pope did the wicketkeeping duties during the first two Test matches.

England would be looking for a historic whitewash and end the ICC Test Championship cycle on a high.
