Suraj Randiv, a former CSK star, made an unexpected career change and started driving buses. The majority of former cricketers work in related fields like coaching, administration, or commentary. Suraj Randiv, a former Sri Lankan star, changed careers as well.

At Chennai Super Kings, MS Dhoni’s former teammate was Randiv. Despite having participated in the World Cup and the Indian Premier League (IPL) on the biggest stages, Randiv found himself in a position where he had to choose to accept a job as a bus driver in Australia.

When Muttiah Muralitharan was replaced in the team in 2009, Randiv made his debut for Sri Lanka. He spent seven years, up until 2016, playing for the national team.

Randiv participated in the historic victory India achieved over Sri Lanka in the 2011 ODI World Cup final. Randiv moved to Australia and gave up playing cricket. In Melbourne, he works as a bus driver. He works for a business called Transdev.

Suraj Randiv previously played under the Indian Cricket Team’s (ICT) captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni (MS Dhoni) and for the Chennai Super Kings also.

The 2011 ODI Cricket World Cup final featured Suraj Randiv for Sri Lanka. Under the captaincy of MS Dhoni, the Indian team won its second One Day World Cup title by defeating Sri Lanka in the final match. The legendary spinner Muttiah Muralitharan was replaced in the Sri Lankan cricket team in 2009 by Suraj Randiv.

After that, he spent 7 years playing cricket for the national team. Suraj Randiv has taken seven wickets in seven T20 games at an economy rate of 6.62, 36 wickets in 31 ODIs at an average of 33.72, and 43 wickets in 12 Tests for Sri Lanka at a strike rate of 37.08 overall.

Waddington Mwayenga of Zimbabwe and Chinthaka Jayasinghe, a countryman of Randiv, are the other two cricketers who work as bus drivers in the same organization.
