Mahendra Singh Dhoni is undoubtedly one of the greatest captains in the history of world cricket. He enjoys a massive fan following in his social media handles. However, Dhoni is not a social media addict he has not been seen as very active on social media. Meanwhile, a fan recently did something unimaginable to meet a legendary Indian captain only to return disappointed.

The former Indian captain is the only captain to win the big three ICC trophies. Dhoni-led India towards victory in the 2007 T20 World Cup, 2011 ODI World Cup, and 2013 Champions Trophy. Other than this Dhoni also led India towards victory in Two Asia cup tournaments in 2010 and 2016.

Meanwhile, A fan named Ajay Gill walked 1,400km to meet Dhoni. He was waiting outside the gate of MSD’s farmhouse at Simalia on the outskirts of Ranchi on Friday morning. As per reports suggest the fan was 18-year-old and he walked 1400km by foot from his village Jalan Kheda which is situated in Hisar district of Haryana. Ajay revealed that he walked 16 days starting from July 29 hoping that he will meet Dhoni at least for a very short period. However unfortunately it did not happen.

The reason behind MS Dhoni not meeting his fans as he was very far away from his hometown. Notably, MS Dhoni is in Chennai and is scheduled to travel to UAE for the second phase of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2021).

Moreover, Ajay didn’t have any plans of returning before meeting Dhoni despite knowing that MS Dhoni won’t return for at least 2-3 months. However, a young businessman finally convinced him to go back and gave Ajay a ticket for a Delhi-bound flight.

Chennai Super Kings had an amazing outing in the first phase of Indian Premier League 2021. The MS Dhoni-led side was able to bag a victory in 5 out of 7 games. CSKĀ  was in the number 2 spot in the standings when the IPL 2021 was suspended. The MSD led side will be looking forward to clinching the tournament victory in the 2021 season. Notably, Ms. Dhoni has led the Chennai Super Kings to 3 IPL victories in 2010, 2011, and 2018.

The first match of the second phase of IPL 2021 will begin on 19 September with the match between CSK and MI.
