Virat Kohli’s childhood coach Rajkumar Sharma has said that the Indian cricket fans will get to see the Kohli of old in the Test series against South Africa. The first Test is underway at Centurion with India opting to bat first after winning the toss.

Virat Kohli has a few records lineup to achieve in the Test series. Meanwhile, the Indian cricket fans are eagerly waiting for him to score that elusive Test ton. Meanwhile, last time when India played a Test at the venue, India lost by 135 runs, but the Delhi-born Kohli smashed 153 runs in the first innings with the help of 15 fours.

“Last time Virat played an amazing innings in the Centurion and I hope he will play that once again. All his fans are eagerly waiting to see him perform just like before. He is a mature person. He has been captaining for a long time now and he is passionate about team India’s performance. This time the fans will get to see the original Virat back in form,” Sharma was quoted as saying in NDTV.

India opted to include bot Cheteshwar Pujara and Ajinkya Rahane in the Test match. Sharam meanwhile said that including both in the playing Xi might be tough for the management.

“It will be a tough call for team India that should be included in the Playing XI among Rahane, Pujara and Iyer. Iyer secured his place in the team after he scored his century, as this will bring a lot of pressure on the senior players. But it will be interesting to see that with what combination will Team India go,” he stated.

Indian skipper Virat Kohli lauded the South African outfit saying that they are a tough side at home and a tough team to beat.

Runs On The Board Overseas Has Been Out Strength: India Skipper Virat Kohli

“We will bat first. Runs on the board playing away home has been our strength. The pitch tends to quicken up here on Day 2-3. Our success away from home started from the series we played here last time. Very challenging place to play. South African unit is always strong and they know the conditions. The prep has been wonderful. Quite lucky to get the centre-wicket for practice,” said Virat Kohli after winning the toss.
