In 2002, India won the Natwest series against England at the iconic Lord”s stadium at London. Chasing a massive total of 325 runs ( which is now an easy total to chase), Yuvraj Singh and Mohammed Kaif made history by winning the match with their century stand. The match is known for Indian skipper Ganguly “waving off his shirt” at the balcony of the dressing room as he couldn”t control his excitement levels.

Sourav Ganguly, the former Indian skipper said that Kohli will roam shirtless in the Oxford Street if India would clinch the 2019 CWC title at England.

“I can guarantee you now if he wins the World Cup final at Lord”s in 2019. We better got our cameras ready, as he”s got the six packs, I would not be surprised if he”s on the Oxford Street with the Trophy and his shirt off,” Ganguly said.

The ICC CWC 2019 will be played at England next year in the month of June. It will be a 10- team WC with each team playing 9 matches in the league stage. The top four will advance to the S/F which eventually will lead to the finals of the tournament. WI and Afghanistan will be the two other teams joining the top eight.

Virat, the skipper who is busy in his IPL preparations responded to this comment from Dada saying” I don”t think it will only be me because there will be a lot of people with six packs in the team. We will all be roaming shirtless. Hardik Pandya, there”s Bumrah as well… We have got a few candidates. “

Kohli had a disastrous outing in India”s tour of England in 2014 as he scored only 130+ runs in 10 innings at an average of 13. While several critics questioned his ability in the longest format of the game, Kohli responded well by scoring four centuries in his 692 runs in the Australian tour 2014-15.

Speaking on the same, Ganguly said “Look at his transformation. He struggled in England and in less than six months, he scores four hundred in four Tests. I”ve not seen any Indian batsman play so well in Australia.”

“We all got hundreds in Australia, Sachin, Rahul, VVS, I have but what he did in those four Tests was something I”ve not seen for a long time. That actually transformed him. There are times in life when every sportsman goes through.”

India where the runners in the CT 2017 held at England as they lost to Pakistan in the finals. Speaking on the chances of the Indian squad clinching the cup next year Ganguly said” Yes, of course, they can do it. They played the Champions Trophy final last year. Let”s not get too far ahead. Wish them all the best. They have got some wonderful talent. Hopefully, they will be there. We want them to win, and whichever way it”s celebrated it”ll be up to them.”
