Since his appointment as the president of the BCCI, all eyes were on Sourav Ganguly and what change will he bring to the Indian cricket. By organizing the first Day/Night test, he ticked a box in the Indian cricket history. Now, he seems to have set his eyes on the T20 World Cup next year.
In a show called “Inspiration”, which is set to be telecasted soon, Ganguly shared his views on the plans for T20 World Cup next year. He said that some plans are already on his mind and he needs to discuss it with the management.
“We are chasing very well in T20 cricket. We need to do the same when batting first. I have some thoughts which I will share with Virat, Ravi and the management. We haven”t played many T20 internationals and I am confident by the World Cup we will be absolutely ready“, said Ganguly.
India-West Indies encounter
India has a handful of T20I series ahead of the World Cup next year. A lot of shufflings are being done to form a strong team ahead of the tournament. However, the team will be looking forward to fine-tuning its composition with the series starting against West Indies.
Known for their hitting capabilities, the carribiens will be eager to continue their dominance in T20 cricket. But their recent results haven”t been favorable against India. We are all set for an intense battle starting tomorrow at Hyderabad.
