Gautam Gambhir”s latest Noble act will win your hearts

Indian cricketer Gautam Gambhir has always been on the forefront when it comes to carrying out his social responsibilities. He has often left his fans awestruck with his attempt to reach out the people in need. Recently the Gautam Gambhir Foundation (GGF) announced the initiation of a community kitchen which aims to cater for the poor people.

The left-handed batsman took to social networking site twitter to announce the launch of the daily free kitchen.

“Won World Cups, Won IPLs, beaten opponents. Now time 2 win hearts & beat hunger. Community Kitchen #1 by Gautam Gambhir Foundation.”, was the caption in his tweet.

The first community kitchen was launched in New Delhi”s West Patel Nagar area. Gambhir himself was present on the first day of its operation and was seen serving the poor people.

GGF was started in 2014 with the motive of working for the betterment of the families of the martyrs of armed forces. Through this organization, Gambhir also focuses on helping the underprivileged children by providing them with basic necessities such as food, clothes, and education.

A few months back the KKR skipper had pledged to bear the complete expenses of the children of 25 CRPF personnel who were killed in an attack by the Maoists in Chhattisgarh’s south Sukma region. This particular initiative of starting the community kitchen is yet another welcome move which has won many hearts.
