Indian fast bowler Harshit Rana has expressed his support for the team’s head coach, Gautam Gambhir, following Manoj Tiwary’s controversial remarks. Rana emphasized that personal insecurities should not lead to criticism of Gambhir, who always prioritizes others over himself.
Earlier today (January 9), Manoj Tiwary’s comments from an interview with News18 Bangla went viral. Tiwary accused Gambhir of hypocrisy, claiming he did not practice what he preached. He also suggested that Gambhir took credit for Kolkata Knight Riders’ IPL victories in 2012 and 2014, despite contributions from other players.
Though Rana did not name Tiwary in his Instagram story, he shared his perspective, which reads as follows:
“Critcising someone due to personal insecurities is not good. Gauti bhaiya is someone who thinks more for others than himself. He always backs players when they are down and put them in limelight when things go our way. He has shown this on multiple occasions. He has a lot of knowledge on how to turn games in your favor.”

The former Indian batter encouraged fans to watch his full interview. In a tweet, Tiwary expressed his willingness to address any questions fans had about his latest interview.
“Before taggin me and sharing your opinions on what I said about Gautam Gambhir and what’s happening with the team India. Go through this interview and get it translated and then come back and have a debate with me. I’m ready to answer all the queries,” he wrote.
