Kane Williamson’s Sunrisers Hyderabad lost to Delhi Capitals in the Super Over. This was the first Super Over and SRH were on the receiving end of it. Meanwhile, a Super Over is not one of the fondest memories of Williamson who saw one of those not allow them to win the ICC 2019 World Cup final against England.

After the game, he further said that he is getting tired of finishing second in the Super Overs. New Zealand’s loss to England through a Super Over in the 2019 World Cup final is something that he highlighted in his statement. “I am getting tired of coming second in the Super Overs” said Williamson.

Cricket Is A Game Of Small Margins: Kane Williamson

When asked what SRH could have done differently in the match to win, Williamson said: “It is a game of very small margins and I think, if we are being honest, we just want to do different aspects of our game a bit better. This game, if you are able to do it, then the result can change quite quickly. I suppose when it ends in a tie, you can look at the one run throughout the whole innings. I think on the whole, a lot of positives.”

Kane Williamson further said that it would have been nice f he could have taken his team home. Apart from Williamson and Jonny Bairstow, no other SRH batsmen scored in double figures chasing 160 to win.

The IPL 2021 caravan moves now from Chennai to the other cities in the country. Out of the 56 league matches, Chennai, Mumbai, Kolkata & Bengaluru will host 10 matches each while Ahmedabad and Delhi will host 8 matches each.

As far as these two teams are concerned, SRH will play their next four games in Delhi, followed by two each in Kolkata and Bangalore. Meanwhile, DC four in Ahmedabad and their final five in Kolkata.
