India’s T20I captain Suryakumar Yadav cracked a funny remark while being photographed in Bandra, Mumbai, on Thursday, October 2. The 35-year-old last played in the Asia Cup 2025 final on Sunday, September 28, where he led India to a win over Pakistan.
Chasing 147, the Men in Blue secured a five-wicket victory with two balls remaining, earning their ninth Asia Cup title—the most by any team in the tournament’s history. On Thursday, the Mumbai star was spotted taking pictures with fans. While seated in his car, he delivered a witty line, saying:
“Koi nazdeek rehta toh ghar chordh deta hoon.” [If someone lived close by, I’d give them a ride home].

Suryakumar has proudly represented India in 90 T20 Internationals, amassing 2,670 runs with an average of 37.08 and a strike rate of 164.20, featuring four impressive centuries and 21 half-centuries.
