Krunal Pandya and Hardik Pandya will once again lock horns on Tuesday when Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) take on Gujarat Titans (GT) at the MCA Stadium in Pune. On the eve of the game, Krunal shared a hilarious post, saying that he has got his lucky charm with him.

The Lucknow all-rounder posted a photo of Hardik’s son Agastya wearing the Lucknow Super Giants jersey. Krunal Pandya seems to have gifted a customized Lucknow Super Giants jersey to Agastya as the jersey has his name written on the back.

“Got my lucky charm on my side for tomorrow’s game.” wrote Krunal while sharing a couple of pictures on his social media handles.

Incidentally, Gujarat Titans had the last laugh when both teams played against each other in the first leg of IPL 2022. Although Krunal Pandya dismissed Hardik Pandya, the latter had the last laugh as his team humbled the Super Giants by five wickets.

“There is always a chance” – Ravi Shastri backs Krunal Pandya to play for India again

Former India head coach Ravi Shastri has opened up on Krunal Pandya’s chances of making a comeback for the Indian team. The 59-year old opines that as long as the all-rounder keeps performing the way he has this season, he’ll have a chance.

“There are three left-arm spinners in Ravindra Jadeja, Axar Patel and Krunal Pandya. All three have to believe they can play. At the end of the day, it’s up to the selectors and the players; their duty is to keep giving performances. I feel if he keeps performing, there’s always a chance,” Shastri said on ESPNCricinfo show Timeout.

Krunal, who made his international debut in 2018, hasn’t played international cricket since July 2021. The 31-year old has featured in only 24 international games but lost his place due to inconsistency.

However, the Baroda all-rounder has been in decent form in IPL 2022, chipping in with useful contributions in the middle order. His left-arm spin has yielded nine scalps at 20.66, with best figures of 4-0-19-3 against his former team Mumbai Indians.
