Team India cricketers KL Rahul and Hardik Pandya landed in hot waters for their outrageous comments in a show ‘Koffee With Karan’ hosted by director Karan Johar. They had to go through a lot including suspension from the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). However, Hardik Pandya admitted that it didn’t had a dent on his relationship with KL Rahul.
The duo had to go through a lot during that period for their comments. BCCI also handed them with sanctions for their derogatory comments against women. While Hardik Pandya got back into the Indian team straight away, the Karnataka-born Rahul had to play for India A.
Hardik Pandya opens up on Koffee With Karan debacle
Recollecting the bad phase during a chat with Harsha Bhogle for Cricbuzz, Hardik said that the occurring didn’t affect their friendship by any means. Hardik Pandya also lauded Rahul saying that it has made the latter calmer.
“For me….whatever ever happened.. after suspension I was straight into the Indian team. He had to go to play for India A. He was there in the team then he had to play India A,” Pandya was quoted as saying to Cricbuzz.
“Our friendship never got…. We took one month off from each other…..it was needed. The stress level was so much at that time. KL never changed.. the friendship stayed. Yes, become calmer than what he was. He has been some. We still love each other,” Pandya stated.
Meanwhile, Hardik Pandya has been in the news in recent times. He recently announced that he and his wife Natasa Stankovic are expecting their first child. He has been out of action since long and is itching to come back to the cricket field soon.
