Indian cricketer Mohammed Shami is once again in the news, not for his performance on the field but due to fresh allegations made by his estranged wife, Hasin Jahan. In a fiery Instagram post, Jahan took a direct jab at Shami, labelling him “greedy” and “mean-minded.”
She accused the pacer of turning his back on both her and their daughter, allegedly choosing wealth and stardom over his responsibilities as a husband and father.
Jahan’s emotional outburst claimed that Shami leads a lavish lifestyle while she struggles to bring up their daughter on her own. She expressed frustration over how he abandoned them, and alleged that the cricketer used her for his personal gains. According to Jahan, once Shami’s professional career stabilized, he distanced himself from his family and left her to face life’s challenges alone.
Allegations of Betrayal and Abandonment
In her video message, Hasin Jahan painted a picture of betrayal and heartbreak. She accused Shami of marrying her purely for physical attraction, with no real intention of building a family. According to her, he turned cold and disrespectful soon after finding fame and success. The emotional strain and humiliation she claimed to endure were clearly visible in her tone and words.
This is not the first time Jahan has voiced her grievances in public. The couple’s personal dispute has been ongoing since 2018, when Hasin Jahan first brought forth allegations of domestic abuse, infidelity, and mental harassment. Despite the years that have passed, tensions between the two have shown no signs of easing.
