The right-handed batsman Robin Uthappa has always been one of the few cricketers in the Indian cricket team with zero haters. The flamboyant batsman displayed a unique technique in his initial stages and gave a lot of memorable victories to the Indian fans under the captaincy of MS Dhoni.

During his times with the National Team, the Karnataka batsman has made a thick bond with the former skipper of the Indian team MS Dhoni. Uthappa revealed that he shares a special bond with Dhoni and his wife Sakshi Singh.

He further went on to add saying that MS Dhoni never uses a mobile phone, which makes it hard to contact him. However, he added that it will be fun whenever they meet in functions or during IPL matches.

”MS Dhoni is a very dear friend to me. Unfortunately, with the way he lives his life, he is an anti-phone person. It is very difficult to come into touch with him. But we do come in touch. When we meet, it’s like we have never been not in touch,” Robin Uthappa said to Cricfit editor Mikkail Vaswani on Instagram live.

”He is one of my dearest friends. He is someone I hold close to my heart very dearly. Not only him but also his family as well. Sakshi is so sweet. We definitely are in touch and we are good family friends,” he added.

On the work front, it has been a while to see MS Dhoni on the cricket field after losing semifinal game against New Zealand in England. He was all set to play for Chennai Super Kings in the Indian Premier League but unfortunately, the tournament got delayed due to virus outbreak.

On the other hand, Robin Uthappa lost his contract with Kolkata Knight Riders but he was sold to Rajasthan Royals for IPL 2020.
