Several cricket fans were disappointed with the exclusion of Sanju Samson from the Indian T20I team. Fans believe that Samson plays the perfect brand of T20 cricket. However, Kapil Dev believes that Sanju Samson is wasting his talent.

The former World Cup winning captain said that Samson is very inconsistent which makes him angry many times. The former Indian captain feels that Samson succeeds in just 1-2 matches in a IPL season which isn’t good enough. Kapil Dev said:

“Sanju Samson has made me exceedingly angry. He possesses incredible abilities. However, the player only succeeds in 1-2 matches. He is inconsistent.”

India and South Africa are facing each other in a 5- match T20I series in India. It’s a crucial series for the Indian team to find the perfect balance before the T20 WC. The Indian team would look to find the right players which would help them win T20 WC in Australia.

Wicketkeeper spot is one spot which has caught the attention of cricket fans. There are several contentions for the Wicketkeeper spot. Rishabh Pant, Ishan Kishan, Dinesh Karthik and Sanju Samson are some of the top names for the Wicketkeeper spot in the T20I team.

“Any of three players can win the game for India” – Kapil Dev voices his opinion on Wicketkeeping spot

Rajasthan Royals captain Samson scored 484 and 458 runs in his last two IPL seasons. He got starts in many matches but failed to make it into big innings on most of the occasions.

Kapil Dev believes that all of Karthik, Ishan and Samson have capability to win games on their own.

“To be honest, I am not sure who among the three (Karthik, Ishan, and Samson) is the finest wicketkeeper. There is not much of a change, in my opinion. However, when it comes to batting, each of them is superior. On just about any particular day, any of the three players can win the game for India,” Kapil Dev added.
