Here are the teams that made it to the Ranji Trophy 2017/18 quarter-finals

Gujarat, Kerala, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh registered big wins over their opponents. Kerala qualified for the quarter-finals stage in Ranji Trophy history for the first time. Gujarat earned 7 points with 10 wicket win over Jharkhand. They topped their group. Madhya Pradesh defeated Odisha by 7 wickets to qualify for the quarterfinals. Baroda earned a consolation win over Tamil Nadu.

The match between Hyderabad and Delhi ended in a draw. Starting the final day on 233 for 2, Hyderabad scored 442 for 8 before the match was called off by umpires. Rayadu scored 103, Sandeep made 93.

Karnataka ended the group stage with 209 runs win over Railways on the final day. They declared their innings on 275 for 4. Railways in their second innings were dismissed for a paltry 167. Gowtham picked 7 wickets for 72 for Karnataka. For Railways, Pratham Singh was top scorer with 36.

In Group B, Rajasthan faced Saurashtra in an important match. Rajasthan started the third day on 60 for 2. They were dismissed for 275. Following on, they have ended on 13 for 0.  Barot scored 63 for Rajasthan.

Kerala registered an innings win on the fourth and final day over Haryana. Starting the 4th day on 83 for 5, Haryana were dismissed for 173. This confirms their place in quarterfinals for the first time.

In the last match of Group B, Gujrat defeated Jharkhand by 10 wickets. Jharkhand started the 4th and final day on 106 for 2, HP Patel picked 4 wickets while CT Gaja took 3 wickets to dismiss hosts for 183. Gujarat chased down the target of 15 runs with ease.

Madhya Pradesh has confirmed their place in the quarter-finals with 7 wicket win over Odisha. Starting the day on 237 for 4, Odisha were bowled out for 350 after lunch. Madhya Pradesh lost 3 early wickets in the chase but Bundela and Harpreet Singh helped the hosts to win the match.

Tamil Nadu began the final day on 2 for 0. It was a great bowling display by Meriwala and Swapnil Singh who took 4 wickets each to dismiss TN for 130. For TN, Baba Aparjith scored 60 runs.

Himachal Pradesh batsmen showed great batting. Nikhil Gangta made 101 not out, Verma 59 and Rishi Dhawan 53, Jaiswal quick fire 37 ensured a draw.

The match between Bengal and Goa ended in a draw. Bengal started the day on 108 for 3. Majmudar and Chatterjee scored centuries. Bengal declared their innings on 334 for 5. In reply, Goa scored 86 for 2 before the match was called off.

Punjab and Services match ended in a thrilling draw. Services started the final day on 118 for 3. They were dismissed for 458. Needing 129, Punjab made 94 for 5 in 6.1 overs.

Group A

Hyderabad vs. Delhi (Hyderabad)

Hyderabad began the 3rd day on 194 for 8. They could add only 11 runs to be bowled out for 205. Delhi decided to follow on. In their second Hyderabad performed much better and are 233 for 2.

Railways vs. Karnataka (Delhi)

Starting the final day on 208, Karnataka declared their innings on 275 for 4. Railways were given a huge target, Gowtham took 7 wickets and dismissed Railways for 167.

Karnataka 434 in 111 overs ( Mayank Agarwal 173, Manish Pandey 108, Karan Thakur 3/91, Manish Rao 3/96) and 275 for 4 in 71 overs ( Mayank Agarwal 134, Samarth 54, Nischal 45, ) beat Railways 333 in 98.4 overs ( Mahesh Rawat 124, Arindam Ghosh 91, Shreyas Gopal 4/102) and 167 in 63 overs ( Pratham Singh 36, KM Gowtham 7/72) by 209 runs.

Karnataka 6, Railways 0.

Group B

Starting the final day on 13 for 0, Rajasthan scored 394 for 7 before the match was called off. R Bishnoi made 103 not out, AV Gautam 100, CD Bist made 109.

Sauhastra 534 in 143.4 overs ( Avi Barot 130, Jackson 94, Unadkat 88, Chahar 3/110,UL Haq 3/112) draw Rajasthan 394 for 7 in 101.2 overs ( CD Bist 109, AV Gatuam 100, Bishnoi 103*, DA Jadeja 5/108) and 275 in 102.2 overs ( Robin Bist 63, Jadeja 3/42)

Kerala vs. Haryana ( Lahli, Rohtak)

Kerala began the 3rd day on 203 for 3. Haryana bowlers created pressure on Kerala batsmen and dismissed them for 389. In their second innings, Haryana is struggling at 83 for 5.

Kerala 389 in 129.3 overs ( Rohan Prem 93, Saxena 91, Ajit Chahal 5/90) beat Haryana 173 in 78.3  overs ( Rajat Paliwal 34, Nidheesh 3/27, Jalaj Saxena 3/37) and 208 in 81.3 overs ( Rajat Paliwal 46, Sandeep Warrior 4/50) by an innings and 8 runs.

Jharkhand vs. Gujarat

Gujarat 411 in 130.5 overs ( RH Bhatt 145*, Manpreet Juneja 67) and 16 for 0 in 1.4 overs ( Panchal 12*, Gohel 4*) beat Jharkhand 183 in 62 overs ( Deborah 53, Virat Singh 52, HP Patel 4/9, CT Gaja 3/37) and 242 in 86.3 overs ( K Deborah 80, CT Gaja 3/49, Thakor 3/43) by 10 wickets

Group C

Madhya Pradesh vs. Odisha ( Indore)

Starting on the overnight score of 237 for 4, Odisha were dismissed for 350 after lunch. MP was given a target of 110 runs, lost 3 early wickets but Bundela and Harpreet Singh ensured that hosts won the match and confirm their place in the quarterfinals.

Madhya Pradesh 388 in 115 overs ( Patidar 123, Poddar 7/102) and 111 for 3 in 37 overs ( Bundela 50*, Harpreet Singh 37*, Behra 2/31) beat Odisha 350 in 138.2 overs ( Dhuper 88, Senapati 125, Behra 28,  Hirwani 5/97) and 147 in 52.2 overs ( Shantanu Mishra 60, C Sakura 4/42) by 7 wickets.

Madhya Pradesh 6, Odisha 0.

Tamil Nadu vs. Baroda ( Vadodara)

Baroda registered a consolation win over Tamil Nadu on the final day. Requiring 231 runs on the final, TN were dismissed 130. The top scorer for TN in the second innings was Aparjith with 60.

Vidarbha vs. Himachal Pradesh ( Nagpur)

Himachal Pradesh began the day on 70 for 3. Nikhil Gangta made 101 not out, Rishi Dhawan 53, Verma 59 and Jaiswal quick fire 37 made sure that HP did not lose the match

The quarterfinals have been decided with Delhi, and Kartnakta from Group A, Kerala, and Gujarat from Group B, Mumbai, Madhya Pradesh from Group C, Vidarbha and Bengal from Group D.
