The schedule and squads for the Duleep trophy have been announced by the BCCI yesterday. This domestic season is a very long and hectic one as close to 2000 matches are set to be played. Duleep Trophy marks the beginning of the men”s senior team and will commence on August 17.
India ‘A’ Squads for four-day game against SA ‘A’ & Quadrangular Series
Three teams will be a part of this tournament namely India red, green and blue. All the matches will be played at NPR College ground, Dindigul. This will be the 57th edition of the tournament and it will be interesting to see how the youngsters can cement their spot to the squads as many matches are on the cards for this year.
Faiz Fazal has been named the skipper for India blue while Abinaya Mukund and Parthiv Patel will lead the Red and Green squads respectively.
BCCI announces India’s mega domestic cricket season 2018-19
Lots of youngsters who performed well in the previous season found fortunate enough to get into the squads. Basil Thampi, Rajneesh Gurbani, Ankit Rajpoot and Baba brothers from Tamil Nadu cricket also made their entries.
The BCCI has also announced the India A and B squads for the quadrangle series against Australia and South Africa “A” teams.
All the matches will be played from 1:30 PM IST and adaptability of the players to the pink ball will give a clue to the BCCI whether matches in this format can be considered for the future.
