Here’s the full schedule of India”s 2019/20 Domestic Season

The Board of Cricket for Control of India announced the schedule for the 2019/20 domestic season. It will start from the Duleep Trophy starting from August onwards. 

A total of 4 matches will be played in the Duleep Trophy starting from 17th August 2019. From 24th September onwards, the 50 over format Vijay Hazare Trophy will begin.

In the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2019, the format will be the same as 2018/19 the groups have been divided into 4. There will nine teams in Group A, B and Plate Group. In Group C, there will be 10 teams. Top two teams from Group C will qualify for the quarter-finals and top team from Plate Group.

In Group A and B combined a total of 5 teams will qualify for the knockout stage. A total of 160 matches will be played in the Vijay Hazare 2019/20. The tournament will end on 25th October 2019. 

The next tournament will be played the Deodhar Trophy starting from 31st October 2019 and finish on 4th November 2019. A total of 4 matches will be played in the Deodhar Trophy.

The only change in the domestic season 2019/20 is that Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 tournament will be played before the Ranji Trophy. The Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy will begin from 8th November and finish on 1st December 2019. 

In the Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 tournament 2019/20, a total of 142 matches will be played. The tournament will retain the same format as of 2018/19. A total of three groups will be there with 7 teams and two groups of eight teams each. The top two teams in each group will qualify for the Super League with the teams divided into two groups of 5 teams each. Top two teams from the Super League stage will qualify for the finals.

After the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy tournament, The Ranji Trophy 2019/20 will begin. The league stage will start on 9th December and will finish on 14th February 2020. Ranji Trophy will follow the same format as of 2018/19. A total of 9 teams comprise of Group A, B. In Group C a total of 10 teams will be there. In Plate Group also, a total of 9 teams will be there.

From Group A and B combined a total of 5 teams will qualify for the knockout stage. Top two teams from Group C and the top team from Plate Group would make it into the quarterfinals.  A total of 153 matches would be played in the league stage. 

The knockout stage will start from 19th February 2020 and finish on 13th March 2020. A total of 7 matches would be played in the knockout stage. 

The final match of the domestic season would be the Irani Trophy. In that tournament, the winner of Ranji Trophy 2019/20 will take on Rest of India. It starts from 18th March 2020 to 22nd March 2020.

1. Deodhar Trophy (Multi-day) – 17th August to 8th September 

2. Vijay Hazare Trophy (One day International)- 24th September to 25th October 2019 

3. Deodhar Trophy (One day international)- 31st October to 4th November 2019 

4. Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy (T20)- 8th November to 1st December 2019 

5. Ranji Trophy, League Stage (Multi-Day)- 9th December 2019 to 14th February 2020 

6. Ranji Trophy, Knockout stage (Multi-Day)- 19th February to 3rd March 2020 

7. Irani Trophy (Multi-Day)- 18th March to 22nd March 2020
