Team India opener Rohit Sharma recently reinvented himself in Test cricket when he was promoted in the top-order recently. Since his promotion, Rohit scored a couple of centuries to make the headlines. And now, he is mentally preparing himself to bowl more overs to cement his berth in the longer-formats.
Meanwhile, the cricketer hasn’t had bowled for a long time owing to a finger injury. In addition, Rohit was also not seen bowling in the Indian Premier League for his franchise Mumbai Indians. However, the cricketer is now aiming to take up his bowling once against seriously.

In a recent chat with Star Sports for their show Cricket Connected: Chats, Rohit Sharma opened up on various aspects of his career including his bowling. The dazzling batsman revealed that he is mentally preparing to bowl at least ten overs in a Test match to aid some break to the regular bowlers.
“I miss my bowling! Since I injured my finger, I’m unable to grip the ball and I can’t bowl the way I used to. Wankhede’s pitch doesn’t give me a chance to bowl, so I stay away from it. In Tests, I try to bowl because that gives bowlers a break. To help the team, I mentally prepare myself to bowl 10 overs in a Test match,” Rohit said in the show which will go live on May 13.

Rohit Sharma is currently nursing an injury which he suffered during the fifth T20I against New Zealand. As a result, he missed the ODIs and Test series against the Kiwis. However, the ongoing lockdown due to the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic has provided him with time to attain full fitness and return with a blast.
