Kuldeep Yadav and Team India’s dashing opener and captain, Rohit Sharma, got into a humorous teasing match when the spin wizard claimed he could help the team with the bat if needed. As the leading wicket-taker in the format with 49 wickets taken, Kuldeep was named to the ICC men’s ODI squad of the year 2023.

Recently, Skipper Rohit Sharma gave the kid spinner a cap. The ICC released a video of the two of them interacting during the presentation. Kuldeep Yadav was praised by Rohit Sharma, who described him as a valuable asset for the men in blue.

Kuldeep remarked, “Not much to say; I had a great season last year with the bat and the ball.” After learning about his batting, Rohit yanked his leg and asked when he played. In response, the wrist-spinner said, “In the Test series.” “This is for ODI; I was the captain of this team,” joked Rohit after hearing Kuldeep’s response. I haven’t seen him use a bat. Thus, I’m not sure what he’s talking about.

In the fourth Test match against England, Kuldeep Yadav contributed another important knock of 28 runs and, with Dhruv Jurel, was a part of the winning partnership of 76 runs. Regarding one-day internationals, Kuldeep has amassed 190 runs in 37 innings. Ahead of the T20 World Cup in 2024, practically the whole Indian team—minus Virat Kohli—has been to the United States.
