Veteran wicket-keeper batsman Wriddhiman Saha has quashed all speculations of dressing room controversy surrounding incumbent captain Virat Kohli. Soon after Kohli stepped down from the T20I captaincy role, conspiracy theories emerged in the media about a potential rift between senior cricketers and Kohli.
The shy wicket-keeper batsman from Bengal, took over the wicket-keeping duties since MS Dhoni retired from Test cricket. has played under both Virat Kohli and Ajinkya Rahane stressed that he cannot vouch for others, but he has never had an issue with Virat Kohli.
In a conversation with The Telegraph, Wriddhiman Saha said:
“Personally, I haven’t had any problem in expressing myself before Virat or for that matter, Ajinkya (Rahane, when he led India in three Tests Down Under last season). Now each one of them is different.”
“There are some people who listen to others’ opinions, while there are others who do as per their own wishes. We also come across some who prefer to speak to a couple of other individuals before taking a call. So everyone cannot be the same,” Saha added.
Wriddhiman Saha was also part of the squad for the five-match England series where reportedly senior cricketers complained about Virat Kohli’s biasness to BCCI secretary Jay Shah.

Much like his team Sunrisers Hyderabad, Wriddhiman Saha also had a poor outing in the recently concluded IPL 2021 in the UAE. He accumulated only 131 runs from nine matches as the Orange Army finished eighth in the points table with only three wins under their belt.
Saha will hope to regain his midas touch and be back at the IPL 2022 auction with a bang.
