Kanishk Seth, who was once roped in by Chennai Super Kings has given up on his dream of playing in the tournament. The Bengal cricketer was roped in by the franchise ahead of the 2018 season and was released ahead of the 2019 season.

Talking to Swagcricket, Kanishk Seth opened up on his thoughts on politics in cricket, something which has left him unimpressed. The young cricketer spoke about how he gave up on his job to play cricket and the limited opportunities now is making life difficult for him.

“Well as I said I have not been registered for this season so no questions about getting into the IPL this year. I will be playing local games and tennis cricket here in Bengal to earn something! That’s what politics does to deserving cricketers” he responded to a query from Swagcricket about playing in IPL 2022.

Kanishk Seth Shares His Harrowing Experience OF Playing In The IPL

Seth has been playing for Bengal in domestic cricket. However, he was given very few chances in which he tried his best to prove his worth. Playing for the Krishnanagar Challengers in the Bengal, he picked key wickets including that of Abhimanyu Easwaran who recently went to South Africa with India A squad.

He also spoke about learning a few tricks of the game from Shane Watson and Dwayne Bravo.

“It was a great learning experience for me about preparation on and off the field. Being a team man is very important, you know, helping the teammates, coaches, staff. Also, being humble and grounded is the key part to success Learned a lot about variations and field placements, and a lot about batting from Watto”.

Seth also lamented about possibly never playing for India, saying that it would stay as a dream.
