Former Indian veteran spinner Harbhajan Singh has taken oath in Rajya Sabha as a member of the Parliament on Monday. It was the first day of the monsoon session of Parliament. Harbhajan Singh is part of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). It’s the start of the political career of Harbhajan Singh.

Nearly 25 people took oath as Rajya Sabha members on the first day. Harbhajan Singh posted a video of his oath-taking ceremony where he said that he wants to do his best for the people of Punjab. He ended his speech with the Jai Hind, Jai Bharat slogan.

Harbhajan in his tweet wrote,” Took Oath as Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) to protect the Constitution, Rule of Law and Dignity of the House . I will do my best for the people of Punjab and Nation .. Jai Hind Jai Bharat”. Harbhajan Singh also shared a video of oath taking ceremony with it.

Misa Bharti, Rajeev Shukla, A Rao Meena, Vijay Sai Reddy, Kheeru Mahto, Shambhala Saran Patel, Ranjeet Ranjan, Maharashtra Majhi Praful Patel, Imran Pratapgarhi, Sanjay Raut, Sasmit Patra, Sandeep Kumar Pathak and Vikramjeet Singh Sahani are some of the other leaders who also took oath as Rajya Sabha members.

Earlier Harbhajan also announced that he would donate his Salary of Rajya Sabha to the daughters of farmers for their education. Harbhajan Singh joined politics to work for the welfare of the people. Sachin Tendulkar and Gautam Gambhir are some other cricketers who are part of Indian politics.

Taking to Twitter, Harbhajan wrote, “As a Rajya Sabha member, I want to contribute my RS salary to the daughters of farmers for their education & welfare. I’ve joined to contribute to the betterment of our nation and will do everything I can. Jai Hind,” he said in a tweet.”
