Australia will look to gain confidence as they face Bangladesh in their final league match to be played at MCA Stadium, Pune on 11th November 2023. It promises to be an exciting encounter as the Aussies registered a thrilling 3-wicket win over Afghanistan with a special knock by Glenn Maxwell that would create memory for every cricketing fan.

On the other hand, Bangladesh won their previous match against Sri Lanka and stayed in contention to qualify for the Champions Trophy 2025. Australia would look to dominate the Bangladesh side and go into the semi-finals with full confidence.

  1. David Warner

The stylish left-handed opener David Warner played some lovely shots against Afghanistan. It was an attacking display of batting before Omarzai shattered his stumps.

Warner has a great record against Bangladesh in ODI format. He played 2 matches with 206 runs including the highest score of 166 during the 2019 World Cup played in England.

He would be looking to provide an attacking start in the first 10 overs along with Travis Head that would allow Australia to keep pressure on the Bangladesh pace bowlers.

  1. Liton Das

The dashing Bangladesh opener Liton Das looked impressive in the previous match against Sri Lanka. He showed intent against Madhushanka and the opening bowlers. Das was dismissed by a lovely yorker by Madhushanka.

He would be hoping to provide an attacking start in the first 10 overs against top-quality bowling of Mitchell Starc, Josh Hazlewood, Cummins, and Zampa. Das has featured in only 1 One-day international and scored just 20 runs.

Das would be looking to showcase his attacking abilities against top-quality and help Bangladesh score huge runs against the Australian side.

  1. Glenn Maxwell

Glenn Maxwell played one of the best innings in World Cup history with an unbeaten 201 against Afghanistan. With Australian looking dead and buried, he survived few chances which led him to hit big shots and struggled with cramps later.

It was a sensational knock by Maxwell with some quick reflexes that made life tough for Afghanistan bowlers. Maxwell has a poor record against Bangladesh in the ODI format with 32 runs from 2 matches.

He would be looking to continue his sublime form in the match against Bangladesh and help Australia go into the semi-finals with full confidence.

Shoriful Islam bowled with great control in the previous match against Sri Lanka. He got the initial wicket of Kusal Perera during the first 10 overs keeping pressure on the batting.

Islam then got the wicket of Mahesh Theekshana and ended with figures of 2 for 51. He would be eager to provide early damage against top-quality openers including Warner and Head.

Shoriful Islam will be playing his first ODI match against Australia and will look to create with the new ball making life tough for opponents.

Adam Zampa had a tremendous tournament in the World Cup 2023. He bowled with great control but was taken for runs in the later half against Afghanistan. Zampa took the wicket of Omarzai and stopped the flow of runs.

Zampa ended with figures of 1 for 58 in 10 overs as he was smashed by Zadran in the death overs. He would be looking to continue his superb form with another brilliant spell. The leg spinner played 2 matches against Bangladesh in ODI format grabbing 3 wickets at an economy of 6.23 runs per over including best figures of 2 for 13.

He would be key for Australia to pick wickets in the middle overs that help them to restrict Bangladesh for a modest total.
