Veteran Australian batter David Warner smashed a stunning six off Haris Rauf which hit the roof during the ICC ODI Cricket World Cup 2023 match against Pakistan on Friday, October 20 at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. He roared back to form with a great knock to power Australia to a huge score in the match.

David Warner opened the innings alongside Mitchell Marsh after being asked to bat first. The duo put on a big partnership, scoring 259 runs for the opening stand. They took on the Pakistan bowlers, slamming them all over the ground. In the ninth over of the innings, David Warner smashed an outrageous six off Haris Rauf, which left the fans amazed.

On the second delivery of the over, Haris Rauf bowled a length delivery to David Warner. The Australian batter stayed inside the line and flicked the ball over fine leg for a monstrous six. The ball went all the way and hit the roof of the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium. The crowd went berserk, watching the stunning six off David Warner’s bat.

Australia posts 367 on the back of a great opening partnership

David Warner finished the innings as the top-scorer slamming 163 runs off just 124 deliveries at a strike rate of 131.45. He smashed fourteen boundaries and nine sixes in the innings. He was struggling for form in the last few matches but has made a terrific comeback with this knock. On the other hand, Mitchell Marsh scored 121 runs off 108 deliveries with ten boundaries and nine sixes in the innings. Australia posted 367 runs on the board. Meanwhile, Shaheen Shah Afridi took a five-wicket haul in the innings, conceding 54 runs in 10 overs. Haris Rauf also picked up a three-wicket haul at an economy rate of 7.1
